A meeting between three of contemporary jazz's most distinctive musicians - where groove, silence and excitement merge into something completely unique.
Ghosted originated in Stockholm in 2018, when Oren Ambarchi, Johan Berthling and Andreas Werliin met in Studio Rymden and began exploring the borderland between 70s ECM aesthetics, electronic minimalism and African rhythms. Since then, the collaboration has developed into a completely unique musical universe – meditative, pulsating and uncompromising.
Australian Oren Ambarchi is a key figure in the experimental music scene, known for his work with labels such as Touch, PAN and his own Black Truffle. Swedish Johan Berthling (Fire!, Tape) and drummer Andreas Werliin (Wildbirds & Peacedrums, Fire!) add raw energy, warmth and dynamics. Together they create music that flows between improvisation and structure, with hypnotic power and timeless calm.
The trio's album on the legendary Chicago label Drag City, Ghosted I (2022), Ghosted II (2024) and Ghosted III (2025), have garnered rave reviews and solidified the trio's position as one of the most exciting projects at the intersection of jazz and contemporary music.
This is music that breathes, trembles and invites immersion – a highlight for those who love the outer edges of jazz.
