Gåte
Gåte had its breakthrough at the start of the 2000s, and was quickly to prove to be a national treasure.

Their unique combination of traditional Norwegian folk music and explosive rock lifted them out of the rehearsal basement and onto big stages in record time. Their musical universe has since promoted folklore to Europe and the world.
The Trondheim-based folk rock band has played over 600 concerts in Scandinavia, released five albums and won several awards, including the Spellemannsprisen in 2002 for Newcomer of the Year with their debut album "Jygri".
In 2017, the band made a small comeback and released their first record in 12 years. The following year saw the album "Svevn", which was praised by reviewers.
Today the band consists of vocalist Gunnhild Sundli, guitarist Magnus Børmark, drummer Jon Even Schärer, bassist Mats Paulsen and John Stenersen on key harp and keys.
In 2023, Gåte had a successful Norwegian tour with several sold-out venues on the bill, including Rockefeller in Oslo. One review stated: "I've seen many concerts at the Rockefeller over the years, but I put this concert at the very top"
Early in January 2024, it became known that Gåte is participating as this year's participant from Norway in the international edition of Eurovision with the song "Ulveham".
