Per Mathisen Trio w/ Frode Alnæs and Gergo Borlai

Concert start: 23:45 Single ticket price: NOK 300

Two musically insane Vikings meet the most amazing Hungarian drummer ever. In this hard-hitting trio, Scandinavia and the Balkans meet in highly explosive music. It's funk, jazz, jazz rock and world music in a wonderful combination, delivered with musical excess and lots of joy in playing. The trio delivers world-class interplay and virtuosity that will take a long time to find its match.

Per Mathisen is the founder of the trio and also composes most of the music. The collaboration with Frode Alnæs has been going on for a number of years, primarily on Alnæs's projects, but Alnæs plays guitar on Mathisen's latest CD recording, which will be launched in early autumn 2016. With Borlai, Mathisen has released a CD and DVD in another trio, but now was the time has come to bring Alnæs and Borlai together. The audience can expect to get a chin drop deluxe from this powerful band.
