Frank Kvinge
The guitarist Frank Kvinge has studied and made a living as a musician in the USA for many years, but has now returned home to the motherland. His compositions bear the stamp of his stay in the USA with references to both folk, country and, of course, jazz, while he constantly explores new expressions, techniques and genres.
We quote the website All about jazz:
"Kvinge can play everything from a tango and a wedding waltz to classical lieder and deep and dusty blues. He is indeed a musical citizen of the world, but somehow all the different expressions unite in his personal style that is both playful, emotional and technically advanced."
We present mini-concerts in the Kongsberg art association's exhibition at Galleri Låven with Siri Dokken and Eli Hovdenak. Ida Løvli Hidle plays on Thursday at 16 pm and Frank Kvinge plays on Friday at 16 pm.
