DeLillos & Poing + Silje Nergaard
The DeLillos are celebrating 30 years as recording artists in 2015. The anniversary is being celebrated at the Kongsberg Jazz Festival, and for the occasion they are also bringing the wild stunt band Poing.
As one of the biggest in Norwegian popular music, Lars Lillo-Stenberg and his loyal bandmates are a pop orchestra that the vast majority of people in our long country have a relationship with. The band, which is known for songs such as "Neste sommer", "Hjernen er alene" and "Suser avgårde alle mann" has kept it going since 1984, and (fortunately) rarely strayed far from the main recipe: A slightly naïve textual universe , great-sounding guitars and, of course; Lillo-Stenberg's very distinctive vocals.
The collaboration between DeLillos and Poing goes back quite some time. Poing consists of three jazz and contemporary musicians who strike a balance between the boundary-breaking, humorous and popular. Poing performed with DeLillos in the performance "The brain is alone" in the Opera, and they have also played together at other Norwegian festivals to delighted audiences.

The popular jazz artist Silje Nergaard opens the evening at Kirketorget.
Silje Nergaard is current with the brand new record "Chain of Days" where she plays with both folk, pop, country, jazz and blues. At just 16 years old, Silje had the opportunity to sing with the band of Jaco Pastorius himself during Moldejazz, and Dagbladet captured the moment over a full page in the newspaper. Norway's new jazz hope was in the spotlight, and there she has been ever since.
In 2003, Silje Nergaard became fiddler of the year and consolidated his position as a musician and composer. Both before and after this, she has had several major record successes.
This winter, Silje Nergaard has been at home in the living rooms of the Norwegian people every Saturday in the popular TV program "Every time we meet". Silje Nergaard has collaborated with i.a. John Scofield, Pat Metheny, Kurt Elling and Tord Gustavsen, and with her velvety voice and acclaimed compositions, she has taken the audience by storm.
