After a sensational concert at Øyafestivalen in 2017, where the reviewers rolled sixes in droves, the audience really got their ears and eyes open for Berlin-based, Oslo-born and Brazilian-born Charlotte Dos Santos.
Charlotte Dos Santos has not been seen frequently on Norwegian concert stages, but there have been rumors about the few concerts she has given. She recently held a sold-out concert at Nasjonal Jazzscene Victoria, described by the music website Gaffa's reviewer as "one of the most perfect concerts I have been to".
Charlotte Dos Santos brings different impulses into her refined fusion of jazz, soul, r'n'b and Latino. Her debut album "Cleo" frequently featured on reviewers' top lists of the best releases in 2017, and Dagbladet named the album the second best album that came out in 2017. She was recently nominated by Spellemann for "Newcomer of the Year and Gramo grant".
