The Cecilie Grundt Quintet is a quintet originating from Jazzlinja in Trondheim. The quintet is inspired by the post bop tradition, and continues the immortal sound of trumpet and saxophone through modern compositions. The music gives room for the individual voices through improvisation and interaction, which offers hard-swinging modal jazz, melodic solo playing and beautiful ballads alternately.
