Bobo Stenson solo

The Swedish pianist Bobo Stenson has been a central musician in both Scandinavian and international jazz ever since he played with Sonny Rollins at the Kongsberg Jazz Festival in 1971. Now he occupies the Silver Hall at Krona with an exclusive solo concert.
Jazz listeners around the world really got their ears open for Bobo Stenson when, in the 1970s, he was an important part of one of the finest jazz groups the world has heard - Jan Garbarek/Bobo Stenson Quartet. Since then he has been a dominant voice in international jazz. In 2005 wrote Jazz Times that Bobo Stenson was "the greatest living jazz pianist born outside the United States". In recent years, he has primarily attracted attention with his particularly exquisite trio.
At this year's jazz festival in Kongsberg, we get to experience Bobo Stenson solo. It will be a real musical blast! We are taken on a musical journey full of dynamics and changing moods, with powerful outbursts, pearly lyrics and - not least! - fierce swing!
