Imagine suddenly having a gorilla as a mother!
Jonna is an orphan and dreams of a mother. One day a tired car rolls up in front of the orphanage, and Jonna becomes hopeful. But out of the car comes a Gorilla! Jonna hesitantly takes Gorilla home to the scrap heap where she lives. Everything is different and scary, and Jonna is afraid the gorilla will eat her! But Gorilla turns out to be the best mum Jonna could have, she both loves books and is very good at comforting with her long, soft arms.
