In collaboration with Kongsberg Culture School, the Barnivalen organizes a band workshop for children and young people.
Kongsberg is known for cultivating many talented musicians, and we believe that the jazz festival and the workshop are an important reason for this.
Instructors Magne Vestrum (bass) and Jarle Storløkken (guitar, etc.) teach the participants improvisation, and emphasis is placed on them learning to play without notes.
The band workshop ends this year with a concert in Festivalgata.
