Avanthagen: Vilde & Inga + Kristin Andersen Høvin solo

Avanthagen – the place were free music grows wild!

Avanthagen (the avant garden) is a regular post on our program, that has introduced the audience to many unique meetings in music. Because our frequent venue Smeltehytta is being renovated, this concert has been moved to Bergseminaret. This is still one of a kind music in quintessential Kongsberg surroundings.

Inga Margrete Aas and Vilde Sandve Alnæs have played together in the duo Vilde&Inga for close to ten years. In 2014 the released their debut album “Makrofauna” on the label ECM and has later continued to release a further two albums on Sofa Records. The dou has developed a rich and varied sound palette, the music is slow-moving and organic. The two musicians have a classical education but are revolving at the crossways of impro and contemporary music. Wilde and Inga are also members of the trio Azkadenya with Sidsel Endresen, and have played with musicians like Akria Skata, Sofia Jernberg and Mette Rasmussen.

Vilde Sandve Alnæs (violin), Inga Margrete Aas (double bass)

Trompeter and flutist Kristin Andersen Høvind has played impro music for over 25 years, both in Norway and abroad. First and foremost, she has been a member of the impro ensemble SPUNK. She has played in many other contexts, both solo and different ad hoc constellations.

Kristin likes to make it up as she goes along and does not plan what she is going to play.
