Avanthagen: Vilde & Inga + Kristin Andersen Høvin solo

Avanthagen – the place where free music grows wild!

Concert starts: 15:00 Single ticket price: NOK 300

Avanthagen is a regular item on the program for the festival, and over the years has introduced the public to many unique musician meetings. Due to the renovation of our permanent stage Smeltehytta, Avanthagen will be moved to Bergseminaret this year. Still unique music in Kongsberg-unique surroundings!

Inga Margrete Aas and Vilde Sandve Alnæs have played together in the duo Wild&Inga for nearly ten years. In 2014, they released their debut album 'Makrofauna' on ECM, and have since released two new records on Sofa Records. The duo has developed a rich and varied sound palette, the music is slow and organic. The two musicians have classical music education, but operate at the intersection of improvised music and contemporary music. Vilde & Inga also have the trio Azkadenya with Sidsel Endresen, and have played with musicians such as Akira Sakata, Sofia Jernberg and Mette Rasmussen.

Vilde Sandve Alnæs (violin), Inga Margrete Aas (double bass)

Trumpeter and recorder Kristin Andersen Høvin (b. 1973) has played improvisational music for over 25 years, both at home and abroad. She has primarily been one of the four members of the improv ensemble SPUNK. In addition to this, she has played in several other contexts, both solo and in various ad hoc constellations.
Kristin likes to make things up, and doesn't plan what she's going to play in advance.
