The core of Ask Carol is Ask and Karoline, both guitarists and songwriters with a background in jazz and rhythmic studies in Søgne (Kristiansand) and Trondheim.
Karoline Strømshoved has worked extensively as a freelance guitarist around Norway and a little abroad, including Hell Blues Festival and Remedys Casino in Las Vegas. She has also played at the Kongsberg Jazz Festival before as part of the Cathrine Witzøe Band.
Ash Borgen has played in a number of bands in the past, among other things he was guitarist and songwriter in the band Sua Natura, which released an album in 2013.
