Vocalist, guitarist and composer - Åge Aleksandersen is considered by many to be Norway's uncrowned king of rock. He is behind a number of the most famous pop songs in Norwegian music history, and is able to be relentlessly honest and personal in his songs.
In 2024, it will be 40 years since the classic Live the Life come out. With this album, Åge Aleksandersen broke all Norwegian sales records and is still described today as one of the most important releases in Norwegian rock.
Join us and say goodbye to one of Norway's greatest artists!
Support Ida Maria:
In June 2021, Ida Maria released "Dirty Money EP". Five straight-in-your-snout rock songs packed with energy, rawness, primal screams and strong messages. Ida Maria speaks straight from the heart and takes a strong stand against her own past and the unhealthy and unattainable ideals of women we have been constantly fed with.
"I think with horror and horror about what it must be like to grow up as a girl now in a world full of social media, facade fronting and beauty filters. Then I think it is extra important to have healthy ideals of women that emphasize the importance of daring to be yourself. I fight for talented women to be able to flourish as musicians regardless of their appearance"
She has previously sung a duet with Iggy Pop, is praised by Tom Waits who says "She's a poet" and is an international artist praised by many, including Tommy Lee (Mötley Crüe) who shared the music video for the title track "Dirty Money" on social Media.
The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and we have played better than ever before. We can say with our hands on our hearts that we have grown both as people and as musicians on this journey. Now Ida Maria wants to take her amazing band around to festivals and really put punk rock back!
