DJ Bendik Baksaas

Bendik Baksaas is a composer, DJ and musician with electronic machines as his main instrument. The interest in minimalism is pervasive in both productions and playing style. In short rhythmic patterns, a world emerges where every detail is patiently observed. Calm resides in the repetitions, and drive arises when elements in the soundscape are slowly varied. 

In his DJ sets, Baksaas combines East African house with European minimal techno. With live improvised stretches, he embroiders the original songs and creates a unique presentation of a carefully selected arsenal of functional bass-driven club music.
