Rooftop Concert: Rubber Soul Quartet
Rubber Soul Quartet recreate The Beatles’ iconic Rooftop Concert from 1969.
THE BEATLES very last live performance together – THE ROOFTOP CONCERT – was held on top of the Apple building in Savile Row London on the 30th of January 1969. The location was purposed by Paul McCartney due to the lack of time. On the last leg of their career as the world’s greatest rock band, The Beatles had decided to rehearse materials for a new album and then preform in front of a large crowd. The result was to become a last live album with all new material.
The new Norwegian jazz band RUBBER SOUL QUARTET has been inspired by the idea of a concert on a rooftop. They do not suffer, form a fear of highs or solos. On the 8th of July at 20:00 the will therefore making a special performance the top of the KRONA building in Kongsberg with their guest artist Anders Aarum on electric piano. They will be serving up a selection of timeless Beatles classics in jazz versions.
