EXPLOSIVE COLLABORATION

Bassist Rune Nergaard is known for his driving and powerful playing in bands such as Bushman's Revenge and several other bands in the borderland between jazz and rock.

Now he has finally put together his dream band - Exoterm. Among all the extremely talented saxophonists we have in this country, he has chosen Kristoffer Berre Alberts. We may know him best from the super quartet Cortex, but he appears in a wide variety of contexts.

He has received many praises for his playing: "Alberts is one of a kind" (Lars Mossefinn). "He fires from the hip with a furious sound and great intensity" (Svein Magnus Furu).

From the USA comes the drummer Jim Black, an absolutely central musician in contemporary jazz. "Jim Black has made a major impact on the alternative jazz scene over the past twenty years" (Jazz Times).

The fourth man in the band is no one either: guitarist Nels Cline. He is primarily known from the cult band Wilco, but he too has a varied background. These musicians are sure to create a ruckus at Energimølla!
