Ticket sales success and extra bonus
Hurray, and congratulations to the audience, the festival director and his entire staff, because now the goal of ticket sales somewhere between 25.000 and 30.000 tickets sold has been passed. This triggers an extra bonus from one of the festival's main sponsors; GKN Aerospace Kongsberg.
Festival manager Kai Gustavsen is smiling from ear to ear - the target of ticket sales of between 25.000 and 30.000 has been reached and exceeded. This means that the concert program has once again struck a chord with the audience.
Anita Nyheim, Executive assistant at GKN is happy that her company is a sponsor. "I am delighted that the Jazz Festival has sold so well," she says. Nyheim also adds that "it is a pleasure that we can pay out an extra bonus as a boost to get more good artists for next year's festival". It is the first year that GKN Aerospace Kongsberg has been the main sponsor. Yesterday, GKN gathered approximately 360 employees for a separate event, and Anita is "super satisfied" with both the turnout and the artistic elements.
From 2019, the jazz festival and GKN Aerospace are also collaborating on of the festival recruitment price which this year went to bassist Øystein Skjelstad Østensen. The purpose of the award is to stimulate young musicians who have shown promising and ambitious beats as jazz musicians or within jazz-related music.
