Everything you need to know about the new Kvarten stage
Starting in 2025, Kongsberg Jazz Festival's largest stage will be located in the traditional park area Kvarten ved Lågen. In this FAQ, you will find more information about our new main stage.
Kongsberg Jazz Festival's new main stage at Kvarten will offer the audience big names and great music in scenic surroundings, with an intimate park feel and a natural amphitheater that is guaranteed to create great experiences.
What days will there be festival concerts at Kvarten?
Sivert Høyem will perform on Friday, July 4th, while Grace Jones is the headliner on Saturday, July 5th. Before Grace takes the stage, Fay Wildhagen will also play. The artist who will perform before Høyem will be announced just around the corner. The quarter will feature artists who are relevant within jazz, rock, pop – and related genres.
How many tickets are available for the concerts at Kvarten?
A capacity of up to 5000 spectators is planned.
What types of tickets are sold for Kvarten?
We are selling the following tickets.
- single ticket for Friday July 4th (Sivert Høyem + TBA) NOK 795
- single ticket for Saturday July 5th (Grace Jones + Fay Wildhagen) NOK 895
- Two-day ticket for Friday 4 and Saturday 5 July NOK 1295
In addition, Festival passes and Day passes also apply to Kvarten.
Do Festival Passes and Day Passes apply to Karten?
Yes! You are guaranteed entry with both a Festival Pass and a Day Pass for the current day at Kvarten.
JAZZpass is reserved for our indoor club stages, so this does not apply to Kvarten.
How will Kvarten differ from the former Kirketorget stage?
The quarter will provide a more intimate concert experience for the audience. We want to create an arena where the audience can enjoy an entire festival evening. In the park you can enjoy the concerts from the lawn in a natural amphitheater, in green and historic surroundings. Feel free to bring a seating mat if you want to enjoy the concert sitting in the amphitheater!
What kind of experience can the public expect at Kvarten compared to Kirketorget?
There will be a full-scale professional sound, lighting and stage production at Kvarten. At the same time, the surroundings and audience capacity will contribute to a more intimate concert experience.
What kind of age limit will there be at Kvarten?
There will be an 18-year age limit at Kvarten, but with a guardianship system for minors. More information about our guardianship system can be found here. here .
Barnivalen has been held at Kvarten in recent years, what is happening to it now?
Families with children are an important target group for Kongsberg Jazz Festival, and we are proud to be the originator of the longest-running children's festival in the country. We are working on a new concept for the festival offering for the youngest, where accessibility and inclusion are in focus, which we look forward to telling you more about at a later date.
Will it be possible to purchase food and drinks on site?
It will be possible to buy food on site, and there will of course be a bar with both non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks.
Will it be possible to bring your own food into the area?
Bringing food is not allowed, with the exception of small snacks. There will be food for sale in the area, in addition there are several food stalls on the bridge outside the arena where you can get a bite to eat on the way to or from the arena.
How is the accommodation at Kvarten for people with disabilities?
The arena will be adapted for people with disabilities. There will be a wheelchair ramp/special area for wheelchair users, wheelchair toilets. Please inform the guards at the entrance if you need extra assistance entering the arena.
How will you handle parking, transportation and the influx of visitors?
We will publish an arena map for the public closer to the festival. There will be public entry from the museum area, access from Hyttegata. It will not be possible to park close to the area - we refer to information about parking spaces on our website. Otherwise, we recommend using public transport as much as possible, extra bus transport will be set up at night in collaboration with VY Buss.
Will there be a separate VIP/guest area at Kvarten?
Yes, we will have a separate area at the arena. We will offer a separate VIP offer with food and a concert for both our partners and the private market, more info about this shortly.
