HILDE MARIE HOLSEN

We hear very well that Hilde Marie Holsen can play the trumpet as beautifully as she wants. Combined with electronic noise, her music is even more expressive.

Hilde Marie Holsen from Jølster has found her own way with trumpet and electronics at an intersection between jazz, drone and contemporary music. Through sound processing of the trumpet, Holsen creates an electronic universe, which she mixes with a melancholic tone from the trumpet. This is how Holsen creates an original soundscape, which can be experienced as warm, fragile and sharp, but also powerful and dynamic.
