The Electrics
The Electrics consists of some of Europe's foremost improvisational musicians, and is, despite the name, an all-acoustic quartet.
Raymond Strid is undoubtedly one of the leading drummers in contemporary free (jazz) music. In 2000, he took the initiative for the quartet The Electrics, and thus the band flora received a supplement that marked itself emphatically in the landscape from the first note. The German trumpeter Axel Dörner has long since placed himself in the elite level with his varied, surprising and completely personal playing. Saxophonist Sture Ericson has exactly the musical poise and lush imagination to be a worthy brass partner for Dörner. Bass player Ingebrigt Håker Flaten completes the picture with his thick bass sound. A concert with The Electrics is a musical journey through changing moods, from vár, quiet lyricism to temperamental and powerful conflicts of opinion. Free stretches can suddenly be replaced by intensely swinging passages. And the listeners get involved! A concert with The Electrics is never boring!
